Pharmacogenomic Clinical Testing

The Indiana Institute for Personalized Medicine offers Pharmacogenomic testing consults through IU Health Physicians. Pharmacogenomic testing is available through the IU Pharmacogenomics Laboratory. Brian Decker, MD, PharmD

Dr. Decker is a physician with IU Health Physicians and an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Indiana University School of Medicine. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, and his Doctor of Medicine from Indiana University in Indianapolis, Indiana. Dr. Decker completed his residency and his Nephrology and Clinical Pharmacology fellowships at Indiana University School of Medicine. He is board certified in Nephrology and Clinical Pharmacology. He joined Indiana University Health Physicians in 2013. His clinical and research interest encompass clinical pharmacology with a specific focus on personalized medicine and pharmacogenetics. He also has an interest in the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamic of medications in patients with chronic kidney disease and end-stage renal disease. He is currently investigating the pharmacogenetics of the calcium sensing receptor in a large cohort of patients with ESRD. In addition, Dr. Decker is the Clinical Research Center Phase I Principal Investigator. In this capacity he oversees the phase I drug studies that are conducted in the Indiana Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute Clinical Research Center.

 

Michael Eadon, MD

Dr. Eadon is a physician with IU Health Physicians and an Assistant Research Professor in the Indiana University School of Medicine. He received his Doctor of Medicine at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago and completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Dr. Eadon is board certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. He completed a fellowship in Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacogenomics at the University of Chicago Medical Center. He joined Indiana University Health Physicians in 2013 and opened a laboratory focused on the pharmacogenetics of nephrotoxicity. His clinical interests include counseling patients on complicated medication regimens, dosing of medications in kidney disease, and the interpretation of pharmacogenomic testing.
